- Why did you choose Waters|Ortiz? I had been with ALW Accounting and Consulting since 2016, and when the firm became Waters|Ortiz, my accounting practice transitioned with it.
- What do you love most about your job/profession? I find great satisfaction in supporting nonprofits by providing the services that help them reach the people who need assistance most. Contributing behind the scenes allows me to see the meaningful impact of our work, knowing the end user is receiving the help they need. Working alongside a team of professionals who encourage me to explore solutions inspires me to grow and strengthens my ability to solve problems every day.
- What is your specialty at Waters|Ortiz, and how do you go above and beyond to serve your clients? My specialty at Waters|Ortiz is managing multiple clients with diverse needs. I excel at adapting to each organization’s unique requirements, whether processing billing or supporting grant management as they grow and evolve. Because no two organizations are the same, I provide flexible support to our managing staff, ensuring workflows remain efficient and progress is consistent. I take pride in receiving positive feedback from managers, which motivates me to continually refine and improve my processes.
- What book or movie do you recommend to others and why? I recommend rewatching the movie Home Alone. I reference it as the kid’s version of the movie Die Hard, and the idea seems to really kick the comedy into a high gear! Such a good laugh, and the parallels are so good!
- What interesting fact would you most like your readers to know about you? I have been working remotely from Costa Rica for 8 years and picked up 2 new hobbies. Surfing and Jiu-Jitsu.
- What do you enjoy doing most in your free time? Spending time at the beach with my family.
